Tomorrow the Betway test series between Proteas and Bangladesh will start and both teams will be looking to start this series on a winning note.  Proteas will be looking to strengthen their position in the world test championship even though they are missing a few first-choice players they will still be confident they can utilise their home conditions and win the series.  Bangladesh on the other hand will be looking to back up their historic ODI series victory with a historic test series victory. They will be confident and also their self-belief will be high as they have been had a good 2022 so far.  Bangladesh will also be looking to kick start an unlikely bid to make the world championship final which will require them to win all 8 of their remaining test matches.  Proteas Predicted XI: 1 Dean Elgar, 2 Sarel Erwee, 3 Keegan Petersen, 4 Temba Bavuma, 5 Ryan Rickelton, 6 Kyle Verrynne, 7 Wiaan Mulder, 8 Simon Harmer, 9 Keshav Maharaj, 10 Lutho Sipamla, 11 Daran Dupavillon Bangladesh Pr

Pakistan vs Australia 2nd ODI preview

Tomorrow the 2nd ODI between Australia and Pakistan will take place at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. Australia is leading the 3 match series 1-0.  Pakistan will be looking to bounce back and level the series making the 3rd and final match of the series a decider. Pakistan is also under pressure to win as they have slipped to 11 in the ODI super league and are looking like they will have to play the qualifier to make the world cup.  Australia on the other hand is well positioned on the ODI super league table. They have played the same amount of matches as Pakistan the only difference is they have won a majority of their matches and are sitting comfortably in the top 4 with 70 points.  These matches will be very important for both teams as they will want to gain points to establish themselves in a good position going forward.  My predicted eleven for tomorrow's game.  Pakistan predicted XI: 1 Imam ul Haq, 2 Fakhar Zaman, 3 Babar Azam, 4 Haider Ali, 5 Mohammed Rizwan, 6 Kushdil Sha

IPL 1st 5 matches Review

The IPL has got off to a great start with some great performances by players under pressure and some unknown talents making their IPL debut. The talent on show at this IPL has been great to see. The fearlessness of the young players and the way they are expressing themselves has been great to watch.   The youngsters have stepped up and put in performances and have increased the excitement around the IPL as it's going to be very exciting to see how they back up their starts to this season of IPL. Each team have a lot of exciting talent that they have recruited. The talent of both Indians and foreign players are in abundance at this year's IPL and it's just going to get more exciting as the tournament goes on.  It's early to predict anything right now and I think we should wait for at least 3 to 4 rounds to complete before deciding which teams will be on top and which will be at the bottom of the league. IPL is one of the most exciting leagues in the world and the talen

World Test Championship Final Race

The race for WTC final race is getting interesting as 6 teams are still in with a chance while 3 are technically out of the race. The 6 teams with a chance are South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. With the number of test matches, each of the teams has left a winning percentage of around 70% will be the target to get in the top 2 and make the WTC final.  The scenarios for the teams in the race are as follows  South Africa  They have 10 tests remaining in this current cycle of WTC. They have to win 7 and draw 2 of their remaining matches to make sure they have a 70%+ winning percentage which will give them a shot at making the WTC final.  Australia  They have 11 test matches left in this cycle of WTC and from that, they have to win at least 7 matches and draw 1 to make sure their winning percentage is at 70% once they have completed all their matches in WTC.  India They have 7 test matches left. They have to win 6 and draw 1 of their remaining matches to

Bangladesh historic series win in South Africa

Bangladesh has created history by winning the first-ever series across any format in South Africa. Bangladesh played very well throughout the series and was deserved, winners as their experienced players stepped up and lead from the front to guide them to victory.  Bangladesh is a very strong ODI side and one day cricket is their strongest format. The team is improving as a test side. Their T20 cricket is a bit of a concern as that is the format they are struggling with the most. As an ODI side, they are very dangerous and I'm sure they will be one of the top sides from the subcontinent that will be favourite to make it to the semifinals at next year's world cup in India. I would like to congratulate the Bangladesh team on a historic series victory you were the better team in this series.  South Africa should take this as a wake-up call and look to rethink their approach to ODI cricket and also how they structure their team as they look to refresh and start an important phase

IPL: Preview

We are a week away from IPL starting and all teams are set and preparing for the new season. 2 new teams have been added to the IPL and both teams have come in strong looking to make a statement at the auction table. The groups have been decided and each team know their path to the trophy. Who will be the team to lift the trophy this season. Let's take a look at the teams  Mumbai Indians  The Mumbai team's strength is their core players who they retained and Kishan who they bought back. They have made some interesting buys at the auction and have gone for a few unknown players but that's the speciality of Mumbai Indians they make Stars out of these unknown players. Their first choice team looks very strong providing they stay fit but again we might see plays like Anmolpreet and Brevis could be surprise packages for them. They are a team who could see their season got the wrong way if they suffer injuries to key players. This team is led by the current all format Indian ca

Pakistan Test cricket great escape

The series between Pakistan and Australia stands at 0-0 after the 2nd test ended in an entertaining draw. The Australians batted 1st in this 2nd test match and posted 556-9 declared and then bowled Pakistan out for 148.  Australia decided not to enforce the follow-on and batted again as they felt their bowlers will get tired in the heat as well as the wicket would deteriorate more and it would be difficult to bat last on. They batted out the remaining overs on day 3 last session and 8 overs on the morning of day 4 and then declared giving Pakistan a target of 506. With 5 and three-quarter sessions to play it looked like a tough task for Pakistan especially after they lost Imam ul Haq and Azhar Ali early in the chase. Then Captain Babar stepped up to the task and lead them to stumps also needing a 2-year wait for a test century. He was supported very well by the young Abdulla Shafiq who is at the start of his career. Babar continued to lead from the front on the last day even as Abdul
