T20 world cup 2022 first 9 matches review

The T20 world cup in Australia has gotten on the way and there have been quite a few surprises with the biggest one being West Indies getting eliminated in the qualifier round. Ireland and Sri Lanka joined Group 1 from the qualifiers, while the Netherlands and Zimbabwe joined Group 2.

The Super 12 has seen New Zealand thrash host Australia in the opening match. In the second match, Afghanistan stretched England to a close encounter, but they didn't have enough runs on the board and England won in the end.  The third match saw Sri Lanka beat Ireland in a low-scoring encounter.

The 4th match was the biggest rivalry in Cricket India vs Pakistan. This match is going to go down as the match of the tournament as it was Kohli one man show assisted by Pandya that helped India win the game.

The 5th match saw Bangladesh beat the Netherlands in a very close encounter and the 6th match was a no result due to rain. There was a 9-over game played but not enough overs were bowled to get a result as South Africa and Zimbabwe shared points. The 7th match saw host Australia bounce back with a win against Sri Lanka.

The 8th saw Ireland surprise England and beat them by 5 runs on the Duckworth Lewis system after rain cut the match short with 6 overs still left. The 9th match was abandoned without a ball being bowled and New Zealand and Afghanistan shared the points.

The results from the first 9 matches has left both groups wide open in terms of the battle for semifinal spots. I see the battle intensifying between the top teams as they will look to secure a spot in the final 4.

The tables of both groups are

Tomorrow, we have a triple header with the first match being South Africa vs Bangladesh at 5 am SA time and the second match being India vs Netherlands SA time at 9am. The last match is Pakistan vs Zimbabwe at 1pm SA time.

Tomorrow's 3 matches will give an idea of who will have the advantage in the race for semifinal spots from Group 2.

My prediction: Group 1 New Zealand and Australia
Group 2 India and South Africa

World test championship final

India vs New Zealand is where the focus of most cricket lovers is right now as both teams get ready to clash in the final of the world test championship. With the final set to happen in England at the Southampton cricket ground both teams are planning r they will make their way to England considering the testing times we in. Both teams will have to go into a quarantine of 10 to 14 days after reaching England before they can start practicing. New Zealand will be going to England before the end of this month as they have a test series against the English starting on the second of June. India, on the other hand, will only reach England on the 2nd of June in order this giving them enough time to carry out their quarantine and also gives them about 6 days of practice ahead of the WTC final.  Everyone is saying New Zealand will have an advantage going into the WTC final cause their players will have had some game time where Indian players would only have net practice and inter-squ...

CSA 4 Day series Review

The CSA 4 day series has come to an end with Titans being crowned champions of division 1 and Northen Cape Heat champions of division 2. There have been some great performances through the season with both divisions going into the last round with 3 teams still having a chance to win the tournament.  Division 2 was most dominated by Northern Cape Heat for the first couple of rounds until the loss to South Western Districts in beating Northern Cape South Western Districts kept their hopes alive as well as the Tuskers going into the last round any of these 3 could have been crowned champions. It was the Northern Cape Heat who would come out on top after drawing the match while the Hollywoodbets Tuskers also settled for a draw and the South Western Districts lost their match. Here are some of the top performers from this season. Division 2 showed some promise with players showing some good potential for the future.  Division 1 came down to the last round with the Titans, Wa...

Smackdown Review : Roman and Jimmy Usos at log heads and New tag champs

Smackdown opened up with Jey Usos in the ring cutting a promo. He went on to say how he didn't like how his brother Jimmy was disrespecting his cousin Roman Reigns and that he had to be dealt with as that was what was best for the family and to ensure they stay on top Jimmy would have to fall in line.  Reigns made his entry at this moment with Paul Heyman by his side they made their way to the ring and Reigns got a mike and said Jimmy would be taken care of but first, he needs to deal with Cesaro who defends his Universal Championship against this Sunday. In all this, Jimmy made his way to the ring and confronted Reigns, and then we got Reigns talking Jimmy into challenging Cesaro into a match later in the show. Jimmy accepted and challenged Cesaro right there. This brought Cesaro out and he accepted the Challenge by Jimmy and said tonight I beat Jimmy and Sunday I beat you Roman and become the new Universal Champion. Next was  Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler vs Tamina and N...
