Proteas vs England 3rd T20 preview.

Proteas and England will clash in a series-deciding 3rd T20 today at 14:30 England time and 15:30 South African time. This will be an exciting finish to the series as both teams are playing a very attacking brand of cricket and key players from both sides are stepping up and performing in crucial moments, putting both teams in a good position going forward.

This will be England's last T20 to test their options for the T20 world cup. Their next T20 series is in September. The series starts on 15th September, the deadline for teams to announce their squads for the T20 world cup. So, they will want to use this last opportunity to identify their bowling options, especially with their first-choice players still racing against the clock to be fit for the T20 world cup.

Proteas do have 2 more T20s after this match to test different options that they want to have a look at as they put together the final pieces for their World T20 squad. Proteas will hope De Kock, and Captain Miller can come good in this match with bat in hand.

This is going to be an exciting series decider and I expect this to be another high-scoring affair like the previous 2 matches. My predicted elevens are as follows.

England: 1: Jason Roy, 2: Jos Buttler, 3: Dawid Malan, 4: Jonny Bairstow, 5: Liam Livingstone, 6: Moeen Ali, 7: Sam Curran, 8: Chris Jordan, 9: Adil Rashid, 10 Richard Gleeson, 11: Reece Topley/ David Willey

Proteas: 1: Quinton de Kock, 2: Reeza Hendricks, 3: Rilee Rossouw, 4 Aiden Markram, 5: David Miller, 6: Tristan Stubbs, 7: Wayne Parnell, 8: Kagiso Rabada, 9: Keshav Maharaj, 10: Lungi Ngidi, 11: Anrich Nortje/Tabraiz Shamsi

Proteas vs India 2nd test Day 1 review

The second test match between Proteas and India kicked off on a high note with the hosts putting up a horrendous batting performance on day 1. The Proteas team won the toss and elected to bat first, but they failed to make the most of the opportunity as the Indian bowlers wreaked havoc on the home team's batting line-up bowling them out for 55. Mohammed Siraj was the chief destroyer with 6 wickets for 15 runs in 9 overs. He was equally supported by Mukesh and Bumrah both taking 2 wickets each.  The Indian team lost their first wicket early on, with Jaiswal departing for a duck. The rest of the top-order batsmen struggled to get going as well, and the team was bowled out for 153. However, a brilliant counter-attacking innings from Markram helped the home team to 62-3 at stumps to steady the ship.  It was an excellent day for bowlers on both sides as 23 wickets fell for 270 runs.  The Proteas bowlers, led by Rabada and Lungi Ngidi, were impressive after t...

Pakistan vs Australia 2nd test Day 1 review

Australia and Pakistan faced off in the second Test match at MSG. Pakistan won the toss and elected to bowl first. The visitors started well with opening bowlers Shaheen Afridi and Mir Hamza getting the ball to move off the seam. However, the Australian batter struck back with a good opening partnership of 90 runs. Australia finished the day at 187/3 off 66 overs as rain played spoilsport, with Hasan Ali, Agha Salman and Aamer Jamal the pick of the bowlers. It was a tough day for the Pakistani bowlers as they struggled to cause Australian bowlers for long enough periods at a time, but they will look to bounce back on Day 2. The Australian batsman will be aiming to put up a big total for their bowlers to bowl too. Overall, it was an exciting day of Test cricket and fans can look forward to more action in the coming days.  Writer: Ebrahim Yusuf Omar
