Proteas vs England 2nd T20 preview

The 2nd T20 of the 3-match series between England and Proteas is today at 6:30pm England time 7:30 pm SA time. The 1st T20 was a high-scoring affair, and a lot of positives came out of that match for both teams.

Proteas found a new Star in Tristan Stubbs who made the most of his opportunity and scored 72 of 28 hitting 8 6s and 24s at a strike rate of 257.13. Stubbs was fantastic with his hitting power and stroke-making. Reeza Hendricks was another positive will his innings of 57 of 33 with 9 4s and 1 6s at a strike rate of 172.72.

With the ball, it was Ngidi who was the star with 5-39 in his 4 overs. He, Rabada and Maharaj were good on a pitch that proved to be a run feast.

England will be happy with the way they batted especially Bairstow and Moeen Ali. With the ball Topley, Curran and Jordan were good especially Jordan closing the innings in the death overs.

Today's game will again be expected to be a high-scoring affair and expect few changes as its back-to-back matches

SA fans don't worry too much about the result as these matches help find the right options for the T20 world cup although it would be ideal for them to win the games as well.

Rossouw didn't have a great return, but I'm sure given more opportunity he will come good and return the selector's faith in him

Proteas vs India 2nd test Day 1 review

The second test match between Proteas and India kicked off on a high note with the hosts putting up a horrendous batting performance on day 1. The Proteas team won the toss and elected to bat first, but they failed to make the most of the opportunity as the Indian bowlers wreaked havoc on the home team's batting line-up bowling them out for 55. Mohammed Siraj was the chief destroyer with 6 wickets for 15 runs in 9 overs. He was equally supported by Mukesh and Bumrah both taking 2 wickets each.  The Indian team lost their first wicket early on, with Jaiswal departing for a duck. The rest of the top-order batsmen struggled to get going as well, and the team was bowled out for 153. However, a brilliant counter-attacking innings from Markram helped the home team to 62-3 at stumps to steady the ship.  It was an excellent day for bowlers on both sides as 23 wickets fell for 270 runs.  The Proteas bowlers, led by Rabada and Lungi Ngidi, were impressive after t...

England crowned T20 world Champions for the 2nd time.

Congratulations to England on becoming T20 world champions for the second time.  England has become only the second team to win the T20 world cup more than once after winning the 2022 T20 world cup. England is currently the best team in white ball cricket. The brand of cricket they play is just admirable. England's aggressive brand of cricket has made them one of the most dangerous teams in the world and they transition this bold brand into their test game. Going forward, they will be one of the most hazardous sides across all three formats.  The final was mostly dominated by England as they won the toss and chose to bowl 1st. Pakistan had a decent start and looked good until the 11th over and then fell away as England's bowlers squeezed the run flow Pakistan's middle order was not up to the task as they could only manage to post 137-8 in their 20 overs. Overall Pakistan's batting was poor today as they struggled to get away from the England bowlers. The turning point i...
