The 2nd test between Proteas and New Zealand starts today with New Zealand leading the series. This match has a lot at stake with history to be made for New Zealand who are looking to win their first-ever test series against Proteas. There is also WTC points to play for and the Proteas 2nd string team has a point to prove.  The Blackcaps will be hoping they can carry forward the momentum into the 2nd test and continue to be relentless on this inexperienced Proteas side and create a historic moment in their cricketing history.  The SA20 season 2 has ended with Sunrisers Eastern Cape successfully defending their title to win back-to-back titles. The Sunrisers were the team to beat as they played an excellent brand of cricket and dominated throughout the tournament winning 7 matches and losing 2 with 1 no result to top the table in the league stage.  The final of SA20 season 2 was played by the 2 best teams of the tournament the Sunrisers Eastern Cape and Durban Super Giants. Sunrisers proved too good for Super Giants beating them by 89 runs to not only successfully defend their SA20 title but also win the head-to-head between the 2 teams 3-1.  SA20 season 2 saw some unbelievable performances with quite a few young South African players taking the opportunity and shining.   Australia have completed a clean sweep of Pakistan in the three-match Test series, winning the third and final Test by 8 wickets at SCG Stadium. Pakistan were bowled out for 313 in their first innings, with Mohammad Rizwan 88 and Aamer Jamal 8 Pakistani best contributors. But the Australian bowlers, led by Pat Cummins, held firm to restrict Pakistan's total. In reply, Australia was bowled out for 299 with Mitchell Marsh and Marnus Labuschagne scoring half-centuries. Pakistan's second innings was even worse, with the visitors getting bowled out for just 115, leaving Australia needing just 130 runs for victory. David Warner in his last test innings and Labuschagne scored half-centuries as Australia cruised to victory during the afternoon session on Day 4.  This was David Warner's final test and he went out with a bang as Australia whitewashed Pakistan for 7th time in a test series in Australia.   The third day of the third Test match between Australia and Pakistan was exciting, with both teams battling it out on the field. Australia resumed on 116-2 with Labuschange and Smith continuing to score steadily and take Australia closer to Pakistan's first innings score of 313. Labuschange and Smith added 71 runs before both Smith and Labuschange lost their wickets one after the other. Australia then managed a few small partnerships to take their score to 289 before collapsing to 299 all out giving Pakistan a first-innings lead of 14 runs.  Pakistan began their 2nd innings in the worst way possible by losing 2 quick wickets in opener Abdulla Shafiq and Captain Shan Masood both for ducks. Saim Ayub and Babar Azam then gave Pakistan some hope with a partnership of 57 before Pakistan's batting collapsed from 58-2 to 68-7 to end the day staring at defeat and missing another chance to win their 1st test in 28 years. Pakistan last won a test match in Australia in 1995.

  The second test match between South Africa's Proteas and India has come to an end, with India emerging victorious by 7 wickets. The match was held at the Newlands Stadium Cape Town, South Africa from the 3rd  to the 7th of January 2024. Let's have a look at how the match unfolded. Day 1 saw Proteas winning the toss and electing to bat first. They got off to a horrendous start to the match as they were bowled out for 55 in 23.2 overs. India in reply could only manage to get a lead of 98 runs as they were bowled out for 153 in 34.5 overs. The Proteas came out to bat for a 2nd time on Day 1 for 17 overs scoring 62-3 and still trailing India's first innings lead by 36 runs to end the day. Day 2 saw Aiden Markaram play the best innings of the match as he scored 60% of the Proteas' runs ending with 106 off 103 from the 176 runs the Proteas scored. With no support from the other end, Markram could only guide the Proteas to a lead of 78 runs. This meant India need

 Australia and Pakistan ended  Day 2 of the third test match evenly poised. The Australian team started the day with a score of 6-0 and looked to continue reducing their 307-run first innings trail. The Australian opener David Warner was given a lifeline as he was dropped early in the slips. Still, Pakistan managed to get his wicket just before lunch as the introduced part-time off-spinner Agha Salman did the trick. After Lunch, not much play was possible as Australia resumed on 78-1 and only played a further 17 overs scoring 38 runs and losing the wicket of Usman Khawaja as rain washed out the rest of the Day. Australia ended the day on 116-2 with Labuschange 23 off 66 not out and Steve Smith 6 off 7 not out still at the crease. They trail Pakistan's first innings score by 197 runs.  Australia will be hoping that Labuschange and Smith can extend their partnership and convert it into a big match-winning one that will help bat Pakistan out of the match.   The second test match between Proteas and India kicked off on a high note with the hosts putting up a horrendous batting performance on day 1. The Proteas team won the toss and elected to bat first, but they failed to make the most of the opportunity as the Indian bowlers wreaked havoc on the home team's batting line-up bowling them out for 55. Mohammed Siraj was the chief destroyer with 6 wickets for 15 runs in 9 overs. He was equally supported by Mukesh and Bumrah both taking 2 wickets each.  The Indian team lost their first wicket early on, with Jaiswal departing for a duck. The rest of the top-order batsmen struggled to get going as well, and the team was bowled out for 153. However, a brilliant counter-attacking innings from Markram helped the home team to 62-3 at stumps to steady the ship.  It was an excellent day for bowlers on both sides as 23 wickets fell for 270 runs.  The Proteas bowlers, led by Rabada and Lungi Ngidi, were impressive after tea as the India

However, their decision did not go well as the Australian bowlers dominated the Pakistani batsmen from the very beginning. Pakistan lost their openers, Abdulla Shafiq and Saim Ayub early in the innings and were struggling to recover from there. Babar Azam and Shan Masood tried to stabilize the innings, but the Australian bowlers kept on taking wickets at regular intervals. Mohammed Rizwan, Agha Salaman and Aamer Jamal played some excellent innings in the lower middle order to rescue Pakistan  At the end of the day, Pakistan were bowled out for 313 runs.  The third and final Test match of the series between Australia and Pakistan will be played from 3rd January at the SCG Sydney. Australia won the series 2-0 after beating Pakistan by 360 runs in the first test in Perth and 79 runs in the 2nd test in Melbourn. The third Test will be the traditional Pink test which raise funds and spread awareness about breast cancer. This is also David Warner's last test match as he has announced his retirement from test cricket.  Australia will be going in with the same 11 that won the previous 2 test matches while Pakistan have made 2 changes resting Shaheen Afridi bringing in off-spinner Sajid Khan and dropping out form Imam-ul Haq and handing young Saim Ayub a debut.   Pakistan, on the other hand, will be hoping for a better performance from their batsmen, especially their top-order. The Proteas will face off against India in the second test match of their series. The match will occur at the Newlands Cricket Stadium in Cape Town, South Africa. India lost the first test match to Proteas by innings & 32 runs and will be looking to bounce back in the second test. Both teams have some key players to watch out for.
