England crowned T20 world Champions for the 2nd time.

Congratulations to England on becoming T20 world champions for the second time.

England has become only the second team to win the T20 world cup more than once after winning the 2022 T20 world cup. England is currently the best team in white ball cricket. The brand of cricket they play is just admirable. England's aggressive brand of cricket has made them one of the most dangerous teams in the world and they transition this bold brand into their test game. Going forward, they will be one of the most hazardous sides across all three formats.

The final was mostly dominated by England as they won the toss and chose to bowl 1st. Pakistan had a decent start and looked good until the 11th over and then fell away as England's bowlers squeezed the run flow Pakistan's middle order was not up to the task as they could only manage to post 137-8 in their 20 overs. Overall Pakistan's batting was poor today as they struggled to get away from the England bowlers. The turning point in Pakistan's batting was the wickets of Iftikar Ahmed who has been a star for them in the middle order.

Pakistan bowlers did a fantastic job in trying to defend 138 runs and they bowled their hearts out but unfortunately, it was not enough after their batsman let them down. Shaheen Afridi getting injured was the turning point during England's chase as he still had 2 overs to bowl. It meant Iftikhar had to bowl 5 deliveries after Shaheen couldn't complete his over when he returned after getting treatment on his knee. I must say it was brave of Shaheen to come back on after he got injured. That would prove costly as England's star batsman Stokes cashed in and got the big over, they required.  England from there on cruised to victory and sealed their 2nd T20 World cup.

The match did go quite close, but England were always in control if Stokes was at the crease till the end, and he eventually sealed the victory for England and proved again he is the man for the big moments.

Well done to Pakistan they fought hard it just wasn't their day.

This has been a World cup full of Surprises and eventually the team that played the best cricket throughout the tournament won.

Proteas vs India 2nd test Day 1 review

The second test match between Proteas and India kicked off on a high note with the hosts putting up a horrendous batting performance on day 1. The Proteas team won the toss and elected to bat first, but they failed to make the most of the opportunity as the Indian bowlers wreaked havoc on the home team's batting line-up bowling them out for 55. Mohammed Siraj was the chief destroyer with 6 wickets for 15 runs in 9 overs. He was equally supported by Mukesh and Bumrah both taking 2 wickets each.  The Indian team lost their first wicket early on, with Jaiswal departing for a duck. The rest of the top-order batsmen struggled to get going as well, and the team was bowled out for 153. However, a brilliant counter-attacking innings from Markram helped the home team to 62-3 at stumps to steady the ship.  It was an excellent day for bowlers on both sides as 23 wickets fell for 270 runs.  The Proteas bowlers, led by Rabada and Lungi Ngidi, were impressive after t...
