T20 world cup semifinals and final

The T20 world cup is in its closing stages as we have only one semifinal and the final left before a new champion is crowned. Pakistan has qualified for the final. India and England play the second semifinal tomorrow to decide who will join Pakistan in the final.

Pakistan made a tremendous comeback in the tournament after it looked like they were the first team out in the super twelves at one stage.  They are now in the final of the 2022 T20 world cup. Pakistan has peaked at the right time, and it looks like it will be tough to stop them in the final.

India and England will not be concentrating on Pakistan, yet they will be looking to first win tomorrow's semifinal and make their place in the final alongside Pakistan before shifting their focus to the final.

England goes into the semifinal with 2 injury concerns as Mark Wood and Dawid Malan are both not guaranteed to be fit in time for the semifinal encounter. This could see Phil Salt come in for Dawid Malan and one of Chris Jordan/David Willey/Tymal Mills in place of Mark Wood. This would mean England will have two players playing their first game of the tournament which is not ideal in a semifinal situation. England will still be up for a fight but without their best eleven on the field.

England captain Buttler also did not look that confident during his press conference today as he addressed the media ahead of the second semifinal. With him being unsure of his team combination it was obvious for him to be low on confidence as they are a day out from an important match and two key players' availability is sitting on the knife's edge.  Buttler still braved it out and said they will try their best to prevent a Pakistan vs India final.

India on the other hand will have all their players available after an injury scare to their captain. India looks ready for tomorrow's game and the 2 key players will be Kohli and Surya in terms of batting. Arshdeep and Shami in terms of bowling. There is a chance Chahal will get his first match of the world cup considering the conditions at the Adelaide oval.

My prediction is India tomorrow's semifinal, and we will get a Pakistan vs India final with India winning the World T20. The player to guide them to victory will be Kohli.

Proteas vs India 2nd test Day 1 review

The second test match between Proteas and India kicked off on a high note with the hosts putting up a horrendous batting performance on day 1. The Proteas team won the toss and elected to bat first, but they failed to make the most of the opportunity as the Indian bowlers wreaked havoc on the home team's batting line-up bowling them out for 55. Mohammed Siraj was the chief destroyer with 6 wickets for 15 runs in 9 overs. He was equally supported by Mukesh and Bumrah both taking 2 wickets each.  The Indian team lost their first wicket early on, with Jaiswal departing for a duck. The rest of the top-order batsmen struggled to get going as well, and the team was bowled out for 153. However, a brilliant counter-attacking innings from Markram helped the home team to 62-3 at stumps to steady the ship.  It was an excellent day for bowlers on both sides as 23 wickets fell for 270 runs.  The Proteas bowlers, led by Rabada and Lungi Ngidi, were impressive after t...
