Proteas vs England 3rd ODI

 The ODI series between Proteas and England ended with a 2-1 win for the Proteas. The series has been competitive and entertaining. 

Proteas won the toss and chose to bowl. They started off well but then Buttler and Malan put together a partnership of 232 off 211. This partnership brought England right back into the match as they recovered from 14 for 3 to post 346-7 in their 50 overs. 

In reply, the Proteas were always ahead of the scoring rate, the only problem was they lost wickets at regular intervals, which is why they ended up being bowled out for 287. Archer was the star picking up 6-40 of 9.1 overs. England won the match by 59 runs.

The Proteas can take a lot of positives from this series as they have given themselves a good chance to gain the last direct qualification spot.

SA20 review

 The SA20 season 2 has ended with Sunrisers Eastern Cape successfully defending their title to win back-to-back titles. The Sunrisers were the team to beat as they played an excellent brand of cricket and dominated throughout the tournament winning 7 matches and losing 2 with 1 no result to top the table in the league stage.  The final of SA20 season 2 was played by the 2 best teams of the tournament the Sunrisers Eastern Cape and Durban Super Giants. Sunrisers proved too good for Super Giants beating them by 89 runs to not only successfully defend their SA20 title but also win the head-to-head between the 2 teams 3-1.  SA20 season 2 saw some unbelievable performances with quite a few young South African players taking the opportunity and shining. SA20 match 13 Preview

 SA20 match 2nd match today is a repeat of yesterday's encounter at the Wanderers. The Pretoria Capitals vs the Joburg Super Kings at Supersport park Centurion tonight.  The Capitals will be looking to put yesterday's defeat behind them and use their home conditions to get one back at the Super kings.  The Super Kings will want to continue to build some momentum on yesterday's victory and beat their neighbours for a 2nd day straight. Both teams might rotate their fast bowlers as they look to manage their workload going further into the competition.  I think Centurion will be a good pitch to bat on and the team chasing should win this one.
