New era for Proteas starts against West Indies

The Proteas vs West Indies test series starts tomorrow at Supersport Park Centurion. The Proteas have hit the reset button as they change the coaching staff and leadership in the team. Tomorrow marks the start of a new era for Proteas in test cricket as they will look to end the 2021-2023 world test championship on a high.

The Proteas squad for this series has a fresh look and the team has prepared well under the new leadership and can't wait to get going. The Proteas will want to use this series as a steppingstone in the right direction as they look to prove they are still a force to recon within the longest form of the game.

West Indies will hope their young inexperience squad can be up to the challenge and compete against a dangerous Proteas bowling attack. The West Indies do have the bowlers to exploit the conditions but do they have it in them to do it consistently for extended periods of time? West Indies biggest test will be batting department can they put enough runs on the board for their bowlers to bowl too.

The Protea's batting department has a few fresh faces and looks much stronger compared to the one that competed in Australia. The bowling department has a similar look to the one the competed in Australia without Ngidi who was not selected. The Proteas have opted for more all-rounders, and it looks like going forward they will look to play with a deep batting order making sure they are prepared for all situations.

This series the Proteas should have batting till No10 which is a very deep batting order and if they continue will similar combinations going forward, they will be a tough team to compete against.

Predicted Starting 11 for SA and West Indies for 1st test

Proteas: Dean Elgar, Aiden Markram, Keegan Petersen, Temba Bavuma, Ryan Rickelton, Wiaan Mulder, Heinrich Klaasen, Marco Jansen, Kagiso Rabada, Gerald Coetzee, Anrich Nortje

Australia vs Pakistan 3rd test Day 1 review

The third test match between Australia and Pakistan kicked off today at the SCG Sydney. Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first. However, their decision did not go well as the Australian bowlers dominated the Pakistani batsmen from the very beginning. Pakistan lost their openers, Abdulla Shafiq and Saim Ayub early in the innings and were struggling to recover from there. Babar Azam and Shan Masood tried to stabilize the innings, but the Australian bowlers kept on taking wickets at regular intervals. Mohammed Rizwan, Agha Salaman and Aamer Jamal played some excellent innings in the lower middle order to rescue Pakistan  At the end of the day, Pakistan were bowled out for 313 runs. Pat Cummins was the pick of the bowlers for Australia, taking 5 wickets for 61 runs.  Josh Hazlewood took 2 wickets, while Nathan Lyon, Mitchell Starc and Mitchell Marsh took 1 wicket each. Australia are 6-0 at stumps trailing by 307 runs  Australia will be happy with th...
