Sri Lanka beat Bangladesh by 5 wickets

 In a thrilling match at Pallekele, Sri Lanka emerged victorious over Bangladesh by 5 wickets. The hosts won the toss and elected to field first, restricting Bangladesh to a total of 164 runs all out in 42.4 overs . In response, Sri Lanka chased down the target in 39 overs, thanks to a brilliant batting display from Charith  Asalanka, who scored 62 runs off 92 balls. Asalanka's innings was peppered with 5 fours and 1 six, and he was ably supported by Sadeera Samarawickrama, who scored 54 runs off 77 balls. For Bangladesh, Shakib ul Hasan was the pick of the bowlers, picking up 2 wickets for 29 runs in his 10 overs. In the second innings, Sri Lanka got off to a shaky start, with the opening pair of Karunaratne and Pathum Nissanka both getting out inside 3 overs. Despite a top-order collapse, Sri Lanka held their nerve and chased down the target comfortably with 11 overs to spare.
