Asia cup preview

The Asia Cup is set to kick off tomorrow and fans are eagerly anticipating the tournament. This year's competition promises to be an exciting one, with several strong teams vying for the title. India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan are all expected to put up a good fight and showcase their cricketing skills. The matches are bound to be intense, and the players will be giving it their all to come out on top. Fans can expect a thrilling few weeks of cricket as the best teams from Asia battle it out for supremacy.

This year's tournament as a team making their first appearance in the Asia Cup and that's Nepal. This is going to be a great learning opportunity for Nepal as they are in Group A with Pakistan and India. The Nepal players will gain a lot from playing against the two Asian giants in the cricket world.

This year's tournament will be taking place across Pakistan and Sri Lanka. 4 matches in Pakistan and 9 matches in Sri Lanka. The six teams have been divided into 2 groups. Group A Pakistan, India, Nepal and Group B Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan.

The top 2 from each group will progress to the super 4 and then the top 2 of the super 4 will qualify for the final.

My predictions are Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka will qualify for the Super 4.

Good Luck to all 6 teams for the Asia Cup 2023

SA20 review

The SA20 season 2 has ended with Sunrisers Eastern Cape successfully defending their title to win back-to-back titles. The Sunrisers were the team to beat as they played an excellent brand of cricket and dominated throughout the tournament winning 7 matches and losing 2 with 1 no result to top the table in the league stage.  The final of SA20 season 2 was played by the 2 best teams of the tournament the Sunrisers Eastern Cape and Durban Super Giants. Sunrisers proved too good for Super Giants beating them by 89 runs to not only successfully defend their SA20 title but also win the head-to-head between the 2 teams 3-1.  SA20 season 2 saw some unbelievable performances with quite a few young South African players taking the opportunity and shining. The young standout SA batsman were:  Rickelton 530 runs ave 58.88, strike-rate 173.77 Breetzke 416 runs ave 32, strike-rate 135.50  Stubbs 301 runs ave 60.20, strike-rate, 168.15   Mulder 297 runs...

Australia vs Pakistan 3rd test day 3 review

The third day of the third Test match between Australia and Pakistan was exciting, with both teams battling it out on the field. Australia resumed on 116-2 with Labuschange and Smith continuing to score steadily and take Australia closer to Pakistan's first innings score of 313. Labuschange and Smith added 71 runs before both Smith and Labuschange lost their wickets one after the other. Australia then managed a few small partnerships to take their score to 289 before collapsing to 299 all out giving Pakistan a first-innings lead of 14 runs.  Pakistan began their 2nd innings in the worst way possible by losing 2 quick wickets in opener Abdulla Shafiq and Captain Shan Masood both for ducks. Saim Ayub and Babar Azam then gave Pakistan some hope with a partnership of 57 before Pakistan's batting collapsed from 58-2 to 68-7 to end the day staring at defeat and missing another chance to win their 1st test in 28 years. Pakistan last won a test match in Australia in 1995...
