CSA 4 Day series Review

The CSA 4 day series has come to an end with Titans being crowned champions of division 1 and Northen Cape Heat champions of division 2. There have been some great performances through the season with both divisions going into the last round with 3 teams still having a chance to win the tournament.

Division 2 was most dominated by Northern Cape Heat for the first couple of rounds until the loss to South Western Districts in beating Northern Cape South Western Districts kept their hopes alive as well as the Tuskers going into the last round any of these 3 could have been crowned champions. It was the Northern Cape Heat who would come out on top after drawing the match while the Hollywoodbets Tuskers also settled for a draw and the South Western Districts lost their match. Here are some of the top performers from this season.

Division 2 showed some promise with players showing some good potential for the future.

Division 1 came down to the last round with the Titans, Warriors and Lions all in with a chance to be crowned champions. Warriors were frustrated by the weather and also some resistance by the Knights as they settled for a draw and runners up position in the Tournament. The Titans who were 3rd coming into the last round put in a dominant performance against the Lions to beat them by 7 wickets and win the 2021/22 CSA 4-day series. Here are some of the best performers of the season for Division 1 also take into consideration this is the pool from where the Proteas and SA A teams are being chosen as they are the players who have been playing top-level domestic cricket in SA.

  1. Jason Niemand did well on Rush runs

Wicked rush was very competitive on top 4.

Pieter Milan had no competition at all.

Malusi Siboto needs to up his game, I believe he can do better.

    1. Yes Jason Niemand did well but unfortunately for him his triple century came in a game that counted for minor league as Limpopo and Mupumalanga don't have first class status and List A as their teams have been very weak so they only have T20 status

Australia vs Pakistan 3rd test Day 1 review

The third test match between Australia and Pakistan kicked off today at the SCG Sydney. Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first. However, their decision did not go well as the Australian bowlers dominated the Pakistani batsmen from the very beginning. Pakistan lost their openers, Abdulla Shafiq and Saim Ayub early in the innings and were struggling to recover from there. Babar Azam and Shan Masood tried to stabilize the innings, but the Australian bowlers kept on taking wickets at regular intervals. Mohammed Rizwan, Agha Salaman and Aamer Jamal played some excellent innings in the lower middle order to rescue Pakistan  At the end of the day, Pakistan were bowled out for 313 runs. Pat Cummins was the pick of the bowlers for Australia, taking 5 wickets for 61 runs.  Josh Hazlewood took 2 wickets, while Nathan Lyon, Mitchell Starc and Mitchell Marsh took 1 wicket each. Australia are 6-0 at stumps trailing by 307 runs  Australia will be happy with th...
