Pakistan vs Australia 2nd Test Preview

Tomorrow the 2nd test between Pakistan and Australia will begin at the National Stadium Karachi. Pakistan and Australia have both prepared and are ready.

Australia have even revealed their starting eleven and Swepson will debut for Australia tomorrow. A leg spinner will play for Australia after a very long time and it will be interesting to see what the spin twin combo of Lyon and Swepson bring to the playing field on a Karachi pitch that is expected to offer more assistance for the spinners.

Pakistan is also expected to make two changes to their starting eleven from the previous game. Hasan Ali and Faheem Ashraf are expected to come in place of Naseem Shah and Iftikar Ahmed. I would like to see Pakistan be a bit more attacking and play a leg spinner in Zahid Mahmood. Especially if a spin-friendly wicket is being prepared then Pakistan should play 3 spinners and go for the kill. I don't think they should play Faheem in this game.

The second test match between Proteas and India kicked off on a high note with the hosts putting up a horrendous batting performance on day 1. Australia and Pakistan faced off in the second Test match at MSG. Pakistan won the toss and elected to bowl first. The visitors started well with opening bowlers Shaheen Afridi and Mir Hamza getting the ball to move off the seam. However, the Australian batter struck back with a good opening partnership of 90 runs. Australia finished the day at 187/3 off 66 overs as rain played spoilsport, with Hasan Ali, Agha Salman and Aamer Jamal the pick of the bowlers. It was a tough day for the Pakistani bowlers as they struggled to cause Australian bowlers for long enough periods at a time, but they will look to bounce back on Day 2.
