Pakistan vs Australia historical test series will start in a few hours' time and both teams have prepared themselves and are ready to go. This is going to be a very interesting series and also a very important series for both considering world test championship points will be at stake.

Australia will look to start off well as this is the 1st of 3 subcontinental tours in this cycle of the world test championship and for Pakistan, this is the 1st of 3 big test series they will play at home this year.

The 1st test will take place at the Rawalpindi stadium. It will be interesting to see what starting xi both teams put out on the field for this game.

what I have seen of the pitch in Pindi I think it's going to suit the seamers and Pakistan will go with 3 seamers, spinner and all-rounder( could be a spinning all-rounder)  and Australia will go with their tried and tested combination of 3 seamers and a spinner with the all-rounder( seam all-rounder).

Pakistan predicted Xi: 1. Imam-ul-Haq, 2. Abdullah Shafique, 3. Azhar Ali, 4. Babar Azam (c), 5. Fawad Alam, 6. Mohammed Rizwan(wk), 7. Nauman Ali, 8. Mohammed Wasim Jr, 9. Sajid Khan, 10.Shaheen Shah Afridi, 11. Naseem Shah

Australia Predicted Xi: 1. David Warner, 2. Usman Khawaja, 3 Marnus Labuschagne, 4. Steve Smith, 5. Travis Head, 6. Cameron Green, 7. Alex Carey, 8. Pat Cummins(c), 9. Mitchell Starc, 10. Nathan Lyon, 11. Josh Hazlewood

In terms of spin options, Australia can use Labuschagne, Smith and Head if they need extra options.

Proteas vs India 2nd test Day 1 review

The second test match between Proteas and India kicked off on a high note with the hosts putting up a horrendous batting performance on day 1. The Proteas team won the toss and elected to bat first, but they failed to make the most of the opportunity as the Indian bowlers wreaked havoc on the home team's batting line-up bowling them out for 55. Mohammed Siraj was the chief destroyer with 6 wickets for 15 runs in 9 overs. He was equally supported by Mukesh and Bumrah both taking 2 wickets each.  The Indian team lost their first wicket early on, with Jaiswal departing for a duck. The rest of the top-order batsmen struggled to get going as well, and the team was bowled out for 153. However, a brilliant counter-attacking innings from Markram helped the home team to 62-3 at stumps to steady the ship.  It was an excellent day for bowlers on both sides as 23 wickets fell for 270 runs.  The Proteas bowlers, led by Rabada and Lungi Ngidi, were impressive after t...

Pakistan vs Australia 2nd test Day 1 review

Australia and Pakistan faced off in the second Test match at MSG. Pakistan won the toss and elected to bowl first. The visitors started well with opening bowlers Shaheen Afridi and Mir Hamza getting the ball to move off the seam. However, the Australian batter struck back with a good opening partnership of 90 runs. Australia finished the day at 187/3 off 66 overs as rain played spoilsport, with Hasan Ali, Agha Salman and Aamer Jamal the pick of the bowlers. It was a tough day for the Pakistani bowlers as they struggled to cause Australian bowlers for long enough periods at a time, but they will look to bounce back on Day 2. The Australian batsman will be aiming to put up a big total for their bowlers to bowl too. Overall, it was an exciting day of Test cricket and fans can look forward to more action in the coming days.  Writer: Ebrahim Yusuf Omar
