Pakistan Dominate Afghanistan to become No1 Ranked ODI Team

Pakistan Roar to No1 ODI Rankings

Pakistan secured a comfortable victory against Afghanistan in the 3rd ODI match held in Colombo. The Pakistani team displayed a commendable performance both in batting and bowling, resulting in a win by 59 runs.

After winning the toss, Pakistan chose to bat first and set a challenging total on the scoreboard. They lost early wickets but managed to stabilize their innings. Babar and Rizwan's half-centuries and some late innings hitting by Agha Salaman and Nawaz helped Afghanistan reach a total of 268 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the allotted 50 overs.

Afghanistan's opening pair of Ruhmanullah Gurbaz and Riaz Hasan gave the team a bad start, putting up a partnership of 17 runs. The Afghanistan middle order struggled as only Riaz and Shahidullah managed to put up decent scores. Mujeed will a late flourish in the lower order scored 64 giving the Afghanistan effort some respectability

The Pakistani bowlers were outstanding, with Shaheen Afridi, Mohammed Nawaz and Faheem Ashraf picking up 2 wickets each and Shadab Khan picking 3 wickets. Afghanistan struggled to score runs and lost wickets at regular intervals, which cost them the match.

Overall, it was a dominant performance by Pakistan, and they will be looking to continue their winning momentum in the upcoming Asia Cup.

Congratulations to the Pakistan team for becoming the No1 team in ODI cricket.
