Pakistan scrap to series win in last over thriller against Afghanistan in 2nd ODI

Pakistan's cricket team put up a solid performance against Afghanistan in the second ODI, securing a comfortable win by 1 wicket and series win 2-0 with one match to go. The match was held at Hambantota Stadium, and Afghanistan won the toss and elected to bat first.

The Afghanistan team got off to an excellent, with the opening batsman putting up 227 runs opening stand. Rahmatullah Gurbaz was the top scorer with 151 runs, while Ibrahim Zadran made 80. The rest of the batting line-up failed to make an impact, and the team ended up posting 300-5 runs in 50 overs.

Pakistan's bowling attack was decent, with Shaheen Afridi being the pick of the bowlers with figures of 2/58 in his 10 overs. Naseem Shah and Usama Mir also chipped in with one wicket each.

In reply, Pakistan got off to a solid start, with Fakhar Zaman and Imam-ul-Haq putting on an opening stand of 52 runs. Imam-ul-Haq was the best batsman scoring 91 off 105. Babar Azam then came in and played a decent knock, scoring 53 off 66 balls. Shadab Khan also made useful contributions, as Pakistan chased down the target with 1 ball to spare.

Overall, it was a lucky escape win for Pakistan, who will be looking to improve their middle-order performance in the next game. Afghanistan, on the other hand, will need to regroup come back stronger and try and win the last match of the series.
