Smackdown Review : Roman and Jimmy Usos at log heads and New tag champs

Smackdown opened up with Jey Usos in the ring cutting a promo. He went on to say how he didn't like how his brother Jimmy was disrespecting his cousin Roman Reigns and that he had to be dealt with as that was what was best for the family and to ensure they stay on top Jimmy would have to fall in line.

Reigns made his entry at this moment with Paul Heyman by his side they made their way to the ring and Reigns got a mike and said Jimmy would be taken care of but first, he needs to deal with Cesaro who defends his Universal Championship against this Sunday. In all this, Jimmy made his way to the ring and confronted Reigns, and then we got Reigns talking Jimmy into challenging Cesaro into a match later in the show. Jimmy accepted and challenged Cesaro right there.

This brought Cesaro out and he accepted the Challenge by Jimmy and said tonight I beat Jimmy and Sunday I beat you Roman and become the new Universal Champion.

Next was  Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler vs Tamina and Natalya

This was a decent match as Natalya was beaten for most of the match as Jax had taken Tamina out leaving Natalya in two on one situation, eventually, she did get the hot tag and Tamina ran wild until she was cut off by Shayana. The ending was quite entertaining as Nia tagged in a went for a suplex of the top rope on Tamina but she was blocked and then Shayna tried to get involved Natalya reemerged and took her out with a german suplex and then Nia went on to Samoan drop Natalya only to be hit with the superfly slash from the top rope by Tamina for the 1.2.3 and we have NEW TAG CHAMPS Tamina and Natalya.

There was a celebration for Tamina and Natalya victory with Piro

Backstage we got confirmation from Paul Heyman that Jimmy Usos vs Cesaro would be the main event tonight

Nigerien Medal Ceremony

Apollo was presenting commander Azeez with a medal for his service to him and helping him stay Intercontinental champ. This interrupted by BigE who was on the big screen and then by Sami, and KO who came out to ringside, and all this turned into a brawl and Big E came out and joined the fight. This all ended with Big E standing tall as Apollo and commander Azeez backed away.

Rey Mysterio vs Dolph Ziggler which Rey won with a roll-up pin just like Dominik did last week. well, it was a good match just Zigglers arrogance being the reason for his defeat and I guess Sunday that could be the downfall of the Dirty Dogs as their tag title rain ends.

Then there was a backstage interview with Cesaro who talked about how happy he is and important this Universal championship match is for him and that he knows he can beat Roman on Sunday.

Then there was a backstage confrontation between the Dirty Dogs and Mysterios. The Diry Dogs were being all arrogant and boasting that they will win on Sunday and calling Dominik a baby and then the segment ended with Dominik saying you can call me all the names you want but on Sunday you will call me baby champ.

Next was an in-ring interview with Bianca Belair. Belair asked weres Baylay and then there was a recap of what happened last week between the two. Baylay then appeared on the big screen and they had a back and forward argument which ended with Belair telling Bayalay she is jealous that at mania she was being thrown around by the Bellas while Belair was in the main event winning the Smackdown women's championship.

King Korbin vs Shinsuke Nakamura

This was a decent match with both getting equal offense. Korbin stole the win he reversed a Nakamura submission into a rollup pin. After the match, Nakamura attacked Korbin and took his crown

There was a backstage segment with Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville when Apollo came to confront Adam about what he going to do to Big E, Sami, and KO for interrupting his ceromony. When Adam said he was trying to decide who of the three would face him next week. Apollo was angered and told him that was outrageous he was rewarding them instead of punishing them. When Sonya told him I would watch my mouth in front of him I was you cause Adam is good at making multiple-man matches. Like he did with Roman. Adam then said that was a good idea and announced that next week on Smackdown Apollo would defend his Intercontinental Championship in a fatal four-way match against Big E, Sami, and Ko. Apollo screamed at Adam if he's out of his mind and then left with Azeez to end the segment.

Then saw a segment with Nakamura backstage admiring himself with king Korbin's crown.

Then got another vignette of Alister blacks

Jimmy Usos interview in this he said he thought his first fight back would be alongside his brother but it singles match against Cesaro but he doesn't mind all he wants is for him and his brother to be Tag champs while Roman is Universal champion

Main Event Jimmy Usos vs Cesaro

The match ended in a DQ. The match was good as Cesaro and Jimmy went at it back and forth before Roman and Jey arrived and caused the DQ after that Reigns and Jimmy argued as  Jimmy said he was about to win and then said his out and Reigns said nobody cares about exhibition matches it's all about the big-money match.

Cesaro then attacks Jey and Roman goes to help him and takes Cesaro down and then yells at Jimmy to get in the ring and help but in that time Cesaro recovers and takes out all three of them and Smackdown ends with Cesaro Standing tall as Roman retreated.

That was Smackdown do share your thoughts about the show.

Proteas vs India 2nd test Day 1 review

The second test match between Proteas and India kicked off on a high note with the hosts putting up a horrendous batting performance on day 1. The Proteas team won the toss and elected to bat first, but they failed to make the most of the opportunity as the Indian bowlers wreaked havoc on the home team's batting line-up bowling them out for 55. Mohammed Siraj was the chief destroyer with 6 wickets for 15 runs in 9 overs. He was equally supported by Mukesh and Bumrah both taking 2 wickets each.  The Indian team lost their first wicket early on, with Jaiswal departing for a duck. The rest of the top-order batsmen struggled to get going as well, and the team was bowled out for 153. However, a brilliant counter-attacking innings from Markram helped the home team to 62-3 at stumps to steady the ship.  It was an excellent day for bowlers on both sides as 23 wickets fell for 270 runs.  The Proteas bowlers, led by Rabada and Lungi Ngidi, were impressive after t...

Pakistan vs Australia 2nd test Day 1 review

Australia and Pakistan faced off in the second Test match at MSG. Pakistan won the toss and elected to bowl first. The visitors started well with opening bowlers Shaheen Afridi and Mir Hamza getting the ball to move off the seam. However, the Australian batter struck back with a good opening partnership of 90 runs. Australia finished the day at 187/3 off 66 overs as rain played spoilsport, with Hasan Ali, Agha Salman and Aamer Jamal the pick of the bowlers. It was a tough day for the Pakistani bowlers as they struggled to cause Australian bowlers for long enough periods at a time, but they will look to bounce back on Day 2. The Australian batsman will be aiming to put up a big total for their bowlers to bowl too. Overall, it was an exciting day of Test cricket and fans can look forward to more action in the coming days.  Writer: Ebrahim Yusuf Omar
