Proteas Vs India 1st test Day 1 review

  The first day of the Proteas vs India 1st Test match was exhilarating as both teams put up a good fight. Proteas won the toss and elected to bowl first. The Proteas bowlers quickly made their presence felt by taking wickets at regular intervals. At the end of the day's play, India scored 208 runs for losing 8 wickets in 59 overs as rain and bad light ended the day early. KL Rahul top-scored with 70 runs. The Proteas bowlers did well to restrict India's score and will be hoping to take quick wickets on Day 2 to gain the upper hand in the match. Overall, it was a closely contested day of cricket. Pakistan vs Australia 2nd test Day 1 review

 Australia and Pakistan faced off in the second Test match at MSG. Pakistan won the toss and elected to bowl first. The visitors started well with opening bowlers Shaheen Afridi and Mir Hamza getting the ball to move off the seam. However, the Australian batter struck back with a good opening partnership of 90 runs. Australia finished the day at 187/3 off 66 overs as rain played spoilsport, with Hasan Ali, Agha Salman and Aamer Jamal the pick of the bowlers. It was a tough day for the Pakistani bowlers as they struggled to cause Australian bowlers for long enough periods at a time, but they will look to bounce back on Day 2. The Australian batsman will be aiming to put up a big total for their bowlers to bowl too. The first One Day International (ODI) match between India and South Africa was a one-sided affair, with India winning by eight wickets. Arshdeep Singh's fifer played a crucial role in India's victory. The Proteas were never in the game as they were put on the back foot right from the start. South Africa won the toss and decided to bat first. However, they started off poorly, with Reeza Hendricks and Rassie Van der Dussen both being dismissed for a duck.   The Proteas are set to face India in a three-match ODI series, starting on December 17, 2023. The series will be played in Johannesburg, Gqeberha, and Paarl.   The 2023 T20 series between South Africa's Proteas and India was an exciting contest, with both teams putting up a good fight. The series was a draw 1-1, with each team winning one match each. The first match was washed out due to rain. In the second match, Proteas put up a dominant performance, winning by 5 wickets. Skipper Aiden Markram and Reeza Hendricks played crucial knocks with the bat and ensured the Proteas win. However, in the final match, India returned strongly with a brilliant batting display from Suryakumar Yadav and Yashasvi Jaiswal. Sri Lanka beat Bangladesh by 5 wickets

 In a thrilling match at Pallekele, Sri Lanka emerged victorious over Bangladesh by 5 wickets. The hosts won the toss and elected to field first, restricting Bangladesh to a total of 164 runs all out in 42.4 overs . In response, Sri Lanka chased down the target in 39 overs, thanks to a brilliant batting display from Charith  Asalanka, who scored 62 runs off 92 balls. Pakistan Roar to No1 ODI Rankings  Pakistan secured a comfortable victory against Afghanistan in the 3rd ODI match held in Colombo. The Pakistani team displayed a commendable performance both in batting and bowling, resulting in a win by 59 runs. After winning the toss, Pakistan chose to bat first and set a challenging total on the scoreboard. They lost early wickets but managed to stabilize their innings.  Pakistan's cricket team put up a solid performance against Afghanistan in the second ODI, securing a comfortable win by 1 wicket and series win 2-0 with one match to go. The match was held at Hambantota Stadium, and Afghanistan won the toss and elected to bat first. The Afghanistan team got off to an excellent, with the opening batsman putting up 227 runs opening stand. Rahmatullah Gurbaz was the top scorer with 151 runs, while Ibrahim Zadran made 80. The rest of the batting line-up failed to make an impact, and the team ended up posting 300-5 runs in 50 overs.  Pakistan beat Afghanistan in the first ODI by 142 runs. The stars for Pakistan were their ruthless pace trio of Shaheen, Naseem, and Haris Rauf. The trio put up an excellent show utilizing their pace and bounce as they ripped apart the Afghanistan batting order.  Shaheen started the innings with an excellent spell of 4 overs 2 maidens 2-9. Shaheen bowled with pace, bounce, and accuracy and he got the ball to move through the air and off the pitch superbly. The Afghanistan batsman had no answers to what Shaheen dished out at them. Naseem bowled 5 exceptional overs and took 1-12.   The Proteas have announced their preliminary World cup squad and there are some interesting selections made by the selectors as Proteas only have one series left before the World cup. The Proteas 19 men squad looks strong and balanced, but the biggest question is will that remain the same when the squad is cut down to fifteen. The captain for Proteas is Bavuma who is a very calm and cool leader. He has adjusted to the leadership role very well and has the respect of his teammates. The team under his leadership is a very well-gelled unit.  The vice-captain of the team is Markram who has been seen as a leader from age group cricket. He and Bavuma have a great relationship and they work very well together bouncing ideas off each other.
