World test championship final

India vs New Zealand is where the focus of most cricket lovers is right now as both teams get ready to clash in the final of the world test championship. With the final set to happen in England at the Southampton cricket ground both teams are planning r they will make their way to England considering the testing times we in. Both teams will have to go into a quarantine of 10 to 14 days after reaching England before they can start practicing.

New Zealand will be going to England before the end of this month as they have a test series against the English starting on the second of June. India, on the other hand, will only reach England on the 2nd of June in order this giving them enough time to carry out their quarantine and also gives them about 6 days of practice ahead of the WTC final.

Everyone is saying New Zealand will have an advantage going into the WTC final cause their players will have had some game time where Indian players would only have net practice and inter-squad games.  Although New Zealand will play a warm-up game and 2 tests against England, I still don't think that it will give them an advantage cause during the series against England the pitches will be prepared by the home side.

The pitch for the WTC will be prepared according to ICC as this will be done on a Neutral basis thus no one will have the advantage going into the game cause conditions will be unknown to both teams until a day or 2 before the game.

New Zealand is scheduled to play in Birmingham and London and their warm-up game is at Taunton. so both teams will be reaching the venue for the final at the same time. Yes, New Zealand would have had more time to acclimatize to conditions in England but India would also have had 2 weeks to acclimatize by the time the final would start.

Thus I think that the world test championship final is going to be a tough affair with it being difficult to tell who would come out on top. I'm going with India as they are playing some good cricket at the moment and they have a very balanced squad. New Zealand on the other hand have a good team but they lack in the spin department which could be a big factor in the final.

Who do you guys think is going to win ....  Do leave your choices in the comments.

    3. yes it is a quality Indian team and there pacers are just as good and Southampton is a ground where the pitch tends to assist spin so the longer the game to goes the more it will be in favor of India cause their spinners are much better then NZ. Then again it also might depend on who is batting last. That will be the team who has to face the tougher batting conditions

Proteas vs India 2nd test Day 1 review

The second test match between Proteas and India kicked off on a high note with the hosts putting up a horrendous batting performance on day 1. The Proteas team won the toss and elected to bat first, but they failed to make the most of the opportunity as the Indian bowlers wreaked havoc on the home team's batting line-up bowling them out for 55. Mohammed Siraj was the chief destroyer with 6 wickets for 15 runs in 9 overs. He was equally supported by Mukesh and Bumrah both taking 2 wickets each.  The Indian team lost their first wicket early on, with Jaiswal departing for a duck. The rest of the top-order batsmen struggled to get going as well, and the team was bowled out for 153. However, a brilliant counter-attacking innings from Markram helped the home team to 62-3 at stumps to steady the ship.  It was an excellent day for bowlers on both sides as 23 wickets fell for 270 runs.  The Proteas bowlers, led by Rabada and Lungi Ngidi, were impressive after t...

Australia vs Pakistan 3rd test day 3 review

The third day of the third Test match between Australia and Pakistan was exciting, with both teams battling it out on the field. Australia resumed on 116-2 with Labuschange and Smith continuing to score steadily and take Australia closer to Pakistan's first innings score of 313. Labuschange and Smith added 71 runs before both Smith and Labuschange lost their wickets one after the other. Australia then managed a few small partnerships to take their score to 289 before collapsing to 299 all out giving Pakistan a first-innings lead of 14 runs.  Pakistan began their 2nd innings in the worst way possible by losing 2 quick wickets in opener Abdulla Shafiq and Captain Shan Masood both for ducks. Saim Ayub and Babar Azam then gave Pakistan some hope with a partnership of 57 before Pakistan's batting collapsed from 58-2 to 68-7 to end the day staring at defeat and missing another chance to win their 1st test in 28 years. Pakistan last won a test match in Australia in 1995...
