New Zealand's Morning

After day 3 was washed out by rain both teams looked to make time up on day 4.

Day 4 morning went to New Zealand as they took control of the game and continued to look for a victory. They took 4 wickets this morning to reduce England to 6 down at Lunch. Tim Southee got 3 wickets and Jamieson got one.

The day started with Jamieson getting Root of the first ball of the day for 42 of 113 caught by Taylor. Then we had a bit of a partnership between Burns and Pope before Southee got Pope LBW for 22 of 32 and he had Lawrance caught de Gromme bowled Southee 0 of 2 and Bracey on debut 0 of 6 bowled Southee.

The first session of day 4 saw 53 runs scored for the loss of 4 wickets as England went to Lunch on 164/6 with burns unbeaten on 72 of 203 and Robinson on 16 0f 48. This session was New Zealand's as they took the ascendancy in the test match. From here on two results are possible one a New Zealand victory and two a draw. unless England plays some incredible cricket an England victory is very unlikely.

SA20 review

The SA20 season 2 has ended with Sunrisers Eastern Cape successfully defending their title to win back-to-back titles. The Sunrisers were the team to beat as they played an excellent brand of cricket and dominated throughout the tournament winning 7 matches and losing 2 with 1 no result to top the table in the league stage. Proteas vs West Indies 1st test review

Protea's new era started off very well as they scored 314-8 on day 1 of the first test of this series. The day started with Proteas winning the toss and choosing to bat first. The Proteas got off to a great start as Elgar and Markram batted through too Lunch as they put together an opening Partnership of 99 in the morning session. The afternoon session was again dominated by Proteas as a further 107 added for the loss of 1 wicket. The wicket that fell during the afternoon session was that of Elgar for a well-played 71 off 118. Markram and the debutant De Zorzi then continued to bat untroubled as they put together a partnership of 78 off 127 before De Zorzi ran himself out and this triggered a collapse by Proteas as they lost 7 wickets in the last session of the day.
