The Capitals put in a decent batting performance as they posted 158 largely thanks to Mendis 37 off 26, de Bruyn 53 off 47 and Neesham 21 off 17. Ngidi 1-19 and Shamsi 1-29 were the best bowlers for the Royals.
The Royal's batting performance was a complete team effort as all the batsmen contributed to the successful chase. The best bowlers for the Capitals were Rashid 1-26 and Jacks 2-7.
The match was an entertaining one as it could have been anyone's game going into the last over the Royals required 10 to win. Captain Miller was there to steer his team home as he hit the first 2 deliveries from Nortje for boundaries.
