SA20 match 8 review

The Durban Super Giants beat the Paarl Royals by 27 runs to register their 2nd win in a row. The Super Giants started off well as Mayers and Mulder came out to open the batting putting together an opening partnership of 62 in 5.5 overs. The experiment to open with Mulder paid off as he scored 42 off 33 which included 4 4s and 1 six. De Kock coming in at 3 was also good as he scored 57 off 31 which included 5 4s and 4 6s. Klaasen finished the innings with a blast as he scored 50 off 19 that included 1 four and 6 6s. This meant the Super Giants posted 216-4 in their 20 overs.

The Royals in reply lost two key players Buttler and Miller early on in the chase and struggled to get back into the game. Eoin Morgan and Dane Vilas put up a good fight in the middle overs but it wasn't enough to get the Royals back on track for victory as both lost their wickets at moments in the game.

The Super Giants bowlers were good at closing off the game with their death bowling. The win means Super Giants are 3rd on the table with 2 wins and 1 loss. They seem to have gained some good momentum to build on going forward in the tournament and have the luxury of quite a few all-rounders in their 11 which means they have resources for all conditions they could encounter.

The Royals will be disappointed and hoping to bounce back tomorrow when they play Super Giants at home in Paarl.

Proteas vs India 2nd test Day 1 review

The second test match between Proteas and India kicked off on a high note with the hosts putting up a horrendous batting performance on day 1. The Proteas team won the toss and elected to bat first, but they failed to make the most of the opportunity as the Indian bowlers wreaked havoc on the home team's batting line-up bowling them out for 55. Mohammed Siraj was the chief destroyer with 6 wickets for 15 runs in 9 overs. He was equally supported by Mukesh and Bumrah both taking 2 wickets each.  The Indian team lost their first wicket early on, with Jaiswal departing for a duck. The rest of the top-order batsmen struggled to get going as well, and the team was bowled out for 153. However, a brilliant counter-attacking innings from Markram helped the home team to 62-3 at stumps to steady the ship.  It was an excellent day for bowlers on both sides as 23 wickets fell for 270 runs.  The Proteas bowlers, led by Rabada and Lungi Ngidi, were impressive after t...

Australia vs Pakistan 3rd test day 3 review

The third day of the third Test match between Australia and Pakistan was exciting, with both teams battling it out on the field. Australia resumed on 116-2 with Labuschange and Smith continuing to score steadily and take Australia closer to Pakistan's first innings score of 313. Labuschange and Smith added 71 runs before both Smith and Labuschange lost their wickets one after the other. Saim Ayub and Babar Azam then gave Pakistan some hope with a partnership of 57 before Pakistan's batting collapsed from 58-2 to 68-7 to end the day staring at defeat and missing another chance to win their 1st test in 28 years.
