SA20 Match 11 review

 This was a fantastic last-over thriller match. Super Kings started off slow but then got going and thanks to Leus de Plooy who scored 75 off 40 including 7 4s and 5 6s at a strike rate of 187.50 the Super Kings got to a competitive 168 in their 20 overs. 

The Capital's best bowlers were Nortje with 2-26 in his 4 overs and Ethan bosh with 3-12 in his 3 overs. 
In the chase, the Capitals never really got going as their batsman got starts and then lost their wicket. Super King's best bowler was Phangiso who took 4-32 from his 4 overs and Sheperd who took 2-28 from his 4 overs

I was there live at the match and the support for the home team was tremendous as they backed them right till the last ball. The Super Kings won by 6 runs in the end but it did look like the Capitals would be taken home by their captain Parnell he got stuck at the non-striker's end as the last 2 wickets fell in quick succession to hand the Super Kings their 2nd win of the competition.

SA20 review

 The SA20 season 2 has ended with Sunrisers Eastern Cape successfully defending their title to win back-to-back titles. The Sunrisers were the team to beat as they played an excellent brand of cricket and dominated throughout the tournament winning 7 matches and losing 2 with 1 no result to top the table in the league stage.  The final of SA20 season 2 was played by the 2 best teams of the tournament the Sunrisers Eastern Cape and Durban Super Giants. Sunrisers proved too good for Super Giants beating them by 89 runs to not only successfully defend their SA20 title but also win the head-to-head between the 2 teams 3-1.  SA20 season 2 saw some unbelievable performances with quite a few young South African players taking the opportunity and shining. Proteas vs England 3rd ODI

  The ODI series between Proteas and England ended with a 2-1 win for the Proteas. The series has been competitive and entertaining.  Proteas won the toss and chose to bowl. They started off well but then Buttler and Malan put together a partnership of 232 off 211. This partnership brought England right back into the match as they recovered from 14 for 3 to post 346-7 in their 50 overs.  In reply, the Proteas were always ahead of the scoring rate, the only problem was they lost wickets at regular intervals, which is why they ended up being bowled out for 287. Archer was the star picking up 6-40 of 9.1 overs. England won the match by 59 runs.
