SA20 match 9 review

The Sunrisers have won their first match of the SA20. They beat MI Cape Town by 4 wickets in a last-over finish. The Sunrisers were excellent in this match as they won the toss and chose to bowl, they were good with the ball from the start with the stars being Magala and Markram. Magala took 2-22 in 4 overs and Markram 2-8 in 2 overs.

Markram was the Star of the night as he added to his contribution with the ball by scoring 50 off 35, including 7 4s at a Strike rate of 142.85. Markram's performance was tremendous as he led from the front and took his team to their first victory in the competition.

MI Cape Town Goerge Linde was the star with the bat for them as he got them to a competitive total of 158-8. He scored 63 off 28, including 4 4s and 5 6s at a strike rate of 225. Linde efforts were not enough as the MI Cape Town could not defend the total. The match did get close as it went right down to the last over of the match.

The pitch was on the slower side, but the match was very entertaining as the battle between bat and ball was amazing to watch.

SA20 review

The SA20 season 2 has ended with Sunrisers Eastern Cape successfully defending their title to win back-to-back titles. The Sunrisers were the team to beat as they played an excellent brand of cricket and dominated throughout the tournament winning 7 matches and losing 2 with 1 no result to top the table in the league stage. The final of SA20 season 2 was played by the 2 best teams of the tournament the Sunrisers Eastern Cape and Durban Super Giants. Sunrisers proved too good for Super Giants beating them by 89 runs to not only successfully defend their SA20 title but also win the head-to-head between the 2 teams 3-1. Proteas vs West Indies 1st test review

Protea's new era started off very well as they scored 314-8 on day 1 of the first test of this series. The day started with Proteas winning the toss and choosing to bat first. The Proteas got off to a great start as Elgar and Markram batted through too Lunch as they put together an opening Partnership of 99 in the morning session. The afternoon session was again dominated by Proteas as a further 107 added for the loss of 1 wicket. The wicket that fell during the afternoon session was that of Elgar for a well-played 71 off 118. Markram and the debutant De Zorzi then continued to bat untroubled as they put together a partnership of 78 off 127 before De Zorzi ran himself out and this triggered a collapse by Proteas as they lost 7 wickets in the last session of the day.
