SA20 match 6 review

The Pretoria Capitals beat the Sunrisers Eastern Cape in a high-scoring entertainer at Supersport Park Centurion by 37 runs.
The Star was Will Jacks who scored a superb 92 off 46 that included 7 4s and 8 6s at a strike rate of 200. He also shared in a partnership of 111 of 54 with Thenuis de Bruyn who scored 42 of 23 that included 2 4s and 4 6s at a strike rate of 182.60.
Sisanda Magala and Marco Jansen were the stars with the ball for the Sunrisers as Magala picked up 2-28 from his 4 overs and Jansen picked up 1-31 from his 4 overs.  The rest of the bowlers struggled as the Capitals posted 216-6.

The Sunrisers in reply could only manage to get to 179-7 with Markram 46 of 29 that included 5 4s and 2 6s at a strike rate of 158.62, Marco Jansen 36 of 20 including 2 4s and 3 6s at a strike rate of 180 and Brydon Carse 26 of 13 that included 3 4s 1 6 at a strike rate of 200 were the stars of the SEC innings but it was not enough as one of them needed to convert to a bigger score to get the Sunrisers over the line. The one responsible for this was Markram as he bats in the top order and should have converted and been the one to bat through the innings.

Anrich Nortje 1-37 and Ethan Bosh 1-33 and Parnell 2-20 were the stars with the ball for the capitals as all 3 got crucial wickets and stalled the Sunrisers' chase every time it looked like it would take off and they would chase down the 216 posted by the Capital

The Capitals have managed to register their 2nd win in the competition and take an early advantage in positioning themselves as a top 4 team for the knockouts.

The second test match between Proteas and India kicked off on a high note with the hosts putting up a horrendous batting performance on day 1. The Proteas team won the toss and elected to bat first, but they failed to make the most of the opportunity as the Indian bowlers wreaked havoc on the home team's batting line-up bowling them out for 55. Pakistan vs Australia 2nd test Day 1 review

Australia and Pakistan faced off in the second Test match at MSG. Pakistan won the toss and elected to bowl first. The visitors started well with opening bowlers Shaheen Afridi and Mir Hamza getting the ball to move off the seam. However, the Australian batter struck back with a good opening partnership of 90 runs. Australia finished the day at 187/3 off 66 overs as rain played spoilsport, with Hasan Ali, Agha Salman and Aamer Jamal the pick of the bowlers. It was a tough day for the Pakistani bowlers as they struggled to cause Australian bowlers for long enough periods at a time, but they will look to bounce back on Day 2. The Australian batsman will be aiming to put up a big total for their bowlers to bowl too. Overall, it was an exciting day of Test cricket and fans can look forward to more action in the coming days.  Writer: Ebrahim Yusuf Omar
